Hello everyone,

This year, we have taken advantage of the low season to find some great activities for our travelers. There is something for everyone at unbeatable prices, all while supporting the local economy.

For more information and prices, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Snorkel 🤿

Snorkeling is a must-do activity when visiting Mexico, and Puerto Morelos in particular.
In fact, the Puerto Morelos reef is one of the largest in the Riviera Maya and, above all, one of the best preserved!  This place is part of the second largest coral reef in the world (the Mesoamerican reef) and is protected by UNESCO.
Depending on the season, you may encounter a multitude of fish, turtles, rays, sharks, etc.

Whale shark 🐳🐋

Whale shark season has begun! From June to September, these enormous fish (the largest in the world!) come to the Mexican coast to feed on the plankton that abounds there.

Swimming with whale sharks in total freedom is an unforgettable experience. This excursion is highly regulated to guarantee total respect for the whale sharks off the coasts of Cancun and Isla Mujeres.

Fishing🎣

Are you a fishing enthusiast or simply want to discover this activity that has long been the lifeblood of Puerto Morelos? Join us for a small group fishing trip. You will spend four hours with local fishermen who will teach you their techniques and allow you to practice. At the end of the day, you’ll be given back what you’ve caught (the fishermen can help you gut it) and you’ll be able to cook it at your leisure at the hostel.

Hammock🪡

Mexico is famous, among other things, for its hammocks, which are among the best in the world. Although the hammock is not native to Mexico, it is believed to have arrived in the Yucatan peninsula long before the arrival of the Spanish.

Today, there is hardly a Mexican house without a hammock! We have found a place where they are still woven in the traditional way.

Here you can learn about the history of the hammock, the different weaving techniques and even try your hand at weaving one yourself.
